Arsenal Park Garden

In September 2015, the board began the process of seeking approval for a new garden site at the Arsenal Park. The city initially offered the existing volleyball court as a potential site, however, after two meetings with the Watertown Conservation Commission where we presented design documents detailing the pros/cons of each site, we gained approval to build on our preferred site: what was previously a inline hockey court.

Construction started in July 2016 and will continue in phases through summer 2017.

WCATV Interview: Living Well Watertown

An August 2016 interview with myself and the board chair, Terese Hammerle, on WCATV to discuss the importance of community gardening as well as the goals for the new community garden design/build at Arsenal Park in Watertown, MA.

In cooperation with Live Well Watertown and the Watertown/Belmont Chamber of Commerce, Watertown Weekly News will be highlighting some healthy activities and programs that the Watertown Community has at its disposal. To kickoff this new series, WWN paid a visit to Watertown Community Gardens and their location on Grove Street. The garden provides a space for community gardeners to grow a variety of plants, vegetables and fruit.
